I remember my school and college libraries and even the local libraries held a lot of meaning to me. In those days we didnt have the luxury to buy so many books. These days parents are buying almost every book that their kids lay their hands on. Hence the need to visit a library dies.

Even I remember how we friends used to go all the way to Churchgate to BCL to get books and sometimes sit there and read... Apart from buying books, I feel the reading habit is on decline. Can’t blame people for that as they hardly have any time... children are too busy with studies and activities while adults are too busy with work... Still some people do get books from road side library’s, but going to larger ones is almost dead.
