Actually its not a bad idea as an alternate charging... i have got stuck with my drained out ipod when I needed it on travel and it sucks big time when there is no way to charge it ...

I wonder if this one would crank up if allowed to hang and swig from side to side. Then it won’t be that bad I guess.
However the shaking thing seems to be only a fail-safe mechanism. It does charge the conventional USB way, right?

Hey Gagandeep, yes it does get charged conventionally via USB. Thats when I realised its not that bad an idea after all... When you are not indoors, just shake and listen .. wish I could do that to my ipod too!

Oh yes, the continuously shaking part does not sound good at all.
Though I admire the out-of-the-box thinking of the inventor, but you just can’t make people buy a product and then make them do this kind of stuff to use them when there are other easier options available.
Imagine people around you shaking their music players to charge them!!
On the second thought this type of charging can come handy when the battery has died and you have no place to charge it... something like secondary/optional charging.
