yeah deepa, since MNCs thrive substantially on branding and logo exposure ( i can say this for i’ve seen biggest of the biggest brands asking obsessively for it when they came in to sponsor my college fest..) its an excellent idea!

mumbai streets will like one of those places as in Love story 2050! i know its cheesy but couldnt find a betta metaphor. sorry :P

Wow! These lights are fantastic. And so much modifiable too. Not sure if it can be cost-effective to be used as street lights, but it can be very useful for private uses where lighting is needed, even where lights are needed to for security reasons... very nice.

They may not be cost effective but the designer has come up with a bright idea of ’Corporate logos can also be projected onto the building’s facades, helping to fund the street lights.’ :)

Overall its a brilliant concept which has been overlooked since long.

Yes Deepa, I did read about the funding option by ’corporate logo projection’, which is novel idea too but I didn’t quite understand how it would work. But over all, its a great idea.
And you are right when you say street lights have been overlooked for long. We need bright streets in night too for safety of citizens.

It can work like a billboard advertising. The companies can pay for projecting their logo.

Out of the 3 lights, they probably can use one side facing buildings/walls to project corporate logos/messages. But that option would be limited to light poles near solid structures, which will be few.
But then maybe they can make enough money from few such poles and get all other street lights funded.
I am still not sure, but I do get an idea of how it may work.. thanks :)
