Just yesterday I covered a nifty gadget that can alert you about your carbon footprints due to electrical usage at home. And falling in the same category is this cutely christened Plogg-Blu that can measure the energy used but not by all the household...

Yeah :( sadly it won’t really help me wean my kids off TV when i am away. But then it can be a warning signal to them at least.

Maybe you can remove the main ON/OFF switch, disappear the remote and then switch off remotely using your mobile (with help of this device) :P

Looks like these type of gadgets are ready to explode in the market. But wonder why they have limited its application by making it track usage of only one device at a time.
Oh and this may not help solve your tv problem Deepa, your kids can just go and switch it back ON from main switch... unless this device switches off and locks the device too.
