Very disturbing story. Poor kids and their parents. They must be going thru so much trauma. And I don’t think our society will allow these kids to lead a normal life even after the corrective surgery.
Also, amazing progress medical science has made... correcting mistake of ’god’.

Well said Manish.. i dun no how many newspaper readers have read this.. It is always that people from the lower strata of the society are struck with the rarest of the disorders.. a yr ago i had read about child with multiple abnormalities and the idea of normal life was merely a magical whim for him.. parents and doctors wanted to go for mercy killing bt they had to wait till natural death occurred to this child, for Mercy killing is not permissible by the Indian Govt. Shessh!

You know Ruchi, the bonding between a parent-child is unconditional. Even if the child is deformed or has abnormalities, these things are really hard on parents. It must be really hard for a parent to agree for mercy killing.

Rightly said.. I am not a parent to probably understand the parent-child relationship...

But isnt it more painful to see that ur child’s suffering is increasing by each passing day and as a parent, wouldn’t he/she want to relieve the child of that pain.. when medical science cannot, it is God who has to do the needful.

Ruchi, even if everything fails, there is always a hope. A hope for a miracle, a hope for someone coming and saying there is a way to help your child or for that matter any near and dear one who is in serious condition. Agreeing for ”end the pain” is very very hard.
